Are you planning to go platinum blond ? Are you thinking of colouring your hair with pastel shades that require your locks to be light? You need to have your hair bleached.

1. It is different from other hair dyes.

Unlike other dyes, especially temporary or semi-permanent hair dyes that can be washed away over time, hair bleaching is a more permanent process. The bleach is not some pigment that latches onto your hair strands and gives them color. Instead, the chemical strips away the natural colors of your hair, which are produced by the pigment called melanin.

2. It damages your hair.

Your hair has several layers of melanin if it’s in dark shades like brown or black. Underneath those hues, there are red or orange and yellow pigments that need to be removed before getting to that blond or pale yellow appearance. As bleaching lifts away the pigments, it could also break down other nutrients or components of the hair shaft, such as the natural oils.

3. You must be invested in reducing the hair damage.

Nourishing treatments can be done to lessen hair damage when bleaching dark hair. Hair Culture salon colours experts would recommend deep conditioning, hot oils, or protein and fatty acid reconstruction treatments (using keratin or ceramide solutions) before and also after hair bleaching.
