The AirTouch technique uses air from a blow-dryer instead of teasing/backcombing. During retouching, this pushes shorter hairs down and out of the way, so that only the needed strands - usually virgin outgrowth that really needs that retouch - remain, after which the colorist can artfully apply color or lightener to it. Even for hair that hasn’t previously been dyed, the AirTouch result is beautifully blended, completely natural-looking locks with soft dimension to endure the grow-out. This means that your natural colour to the dyed sections all blend together in a seamless. A natural looking gradient of Air touch means you don’t have to worry about roots showing and you can procrastinate for ages before going to the salon for a touch-up. When you do to back to the salon for a colour touch-up, the same air-blowing technique allows easy separation of already-dyed, weaker strands of hair from virgin strands that needs the colour.
